DAVID SINCLAIR, P. Eng., LEED AP, BCxP
David is a Principal with 10 years of experience in the design and management of mechanical systems. With a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, David is adept at managing projects from concept to completion. His leadership skills and passion for the industry have also led him to the role of Guest Lecturer for an array of HVAC and Architecture courses at Western University. David's experience includes projects in the institutional, educational, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as commercial facilities and the arts. Select clients with whom David has worked include the University of Toronto, Toronto District School Board, Oxford Properties Group, and the Remai Art Gallery of Saskatchewan.
JOHN BELL, CET, BCxP, LEED Green Assoc.
John is a a Commissioning Manager with 10 years of experience dedicated to the quality-focused commissioning process. He has successfully delivered hundreds of diverse projects and developed numerous documents, including comprehensive owner's project requirements and detailed commissioning programs. John has worked as a Commissioning Manager on a variety of commercial, government and education projects. Select clients with whom John has worked include Oxford Properties, Bentall Kennedy, Rogers Communications, University of Toronto, Royal Bank of Canada, Infrastructure Ontario, and PWGSC & RCMP.
CHRIS SAUNDERS, P.Eng., LEED AP
Chris is a Commissioning Engineer with over 16 years of consulting experience and a passion for sustainable design. He takes an active role in each and every project, working closely with the design team to maximize passive design strategies and implement the most applicable energy efficient HVAC and water conserving plumbing systems. He successfully evaluates alternate systems in terms of energy performance, controllability, and occupant comfort.
HELEN O'REILLY, P.Eng.
Helen is a commissioning specialist with 5 years of experience; a McGill University graduate with a Bachelors of Engineering, Helen received her P.Eng designation in 2017. Prior to joining the HRCx team, she focused on commercial commissioning and tenant design of building systems. She views engineering as a way to combine both her creativity and analytical sides. Helen’s approach to design and commissioning is to always provide the best value while putting herself in the owner’s shoes. Her experience includes commissioning chilled water systems, Enwave deep lake cooling connections and energy performance improvements in existing buildings.
TRISHA MIAZGA, BECxP, LEED AP
Trisha is a Commissioning Specialist with nearly 10 years of experience in programming and OPR development, façade design and coordination, construction administration and observation, forensic investigation, and litigation assistance. With a background in structural engineering and resilience, Trisha assists the HRCx team in achieving client sustainability and resilience goals by developing risk-based building enclosure Owner's Project Requirements (OPR) and code-exceeding design criteria for high-performance building envelope systems. Prior to joining HIDI in January 2015, she held civil and structural engineering positions with firms in western New York and Washington, DC as well as a Construction Engineering research position with the University of Toronto.
FAYYAZ MAWANI, B. Eng, PMP, LEED AP BD+C
Fayyaz is a commissioning specialist with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa. He has over a decade of experience as an electrical commissioning agent, and more recently as a commissioning project manager, in a variety of sectors including healthcare, commercial, residential and institutional. Fayyaz’s extensive experience in electrical commissioning coupled with his enthusiasm for mechanical systems is an asset to HRCx. His approach to commissioning involves working directly with the owner, as well as contractors, to achieve an excellent final end product with efficiency and safety in mind.
Vishrut is a commissioning coordinator holding a bachelor degree in electrical engineering acquired at the Gujarat Technological University in Gujarat, India. Since then he has received an Advance Diploma in Energy System Engineering and Technology from Conestoga College in Cambridge, Ontario. His knowledge and interests in conventional and renewable energy is an asset to the HRCx team. Vishrut’s approach to commissioning is to analyze the system from every aspect and to make sure that system is ready before being delivered to the end user.
Neel is a commissioning coordinator with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University. Prior to joining HRCx Neel has worked in the nuclear industry with Ontario Power Generation as an Engineering Intern and has experience working on the Major Component Replacement project at Bruce Power. Neel’s experience in a safety driven industry collated with his interests in introducing upcoming new technologies into the commissioning process is an asset to HRCx. Neel’s approach to commissioning involves working directly with the owner and contractors to achieve the final end product with efficiency, safety and quality.
Gavin is a Field Services Manager and Commissioning Technician with over 34 years of experience. With an Inter-Provincial Certificate, Industrial Electrician License and Electrical Apprenticeship through the Joint Apprenticeship Council, he has also pursued professional development initiatives including an Electrician - Construction and Maintenance Certificate, Industrial Electrician Certificate, Electrical Construction Estimating Certificate and various Management Seminars. Gavin possesses construction management expertise in a variety of sectors, with project experience that includes the Ministry of Transportation Ontario Service Centres, Rogers and the 2015 Pan Am Games Athletes' Village.
Electrical Designer and Construction Administrator
Frank is an Electrical Designer with over 20 years of experience in engineering and construction. He specializes in power distribution and lighting design, as well as contract administration and commissioning. Frank is adept at project management, fire alarm verification and site reviews. Prior to joining The HIDI Group 2011, he worked on a variety of projects including the TransCanada Pipelines Tower and Gas Bar, as well as bulk facility designs for various organizations.
