University of Toronto Ramsay Wright Teaching Labs Renewal
HRCx provided Commissioning Services for University of Toronto Ramsay Wright Teaching Labs Renewal.
The Ramsay Wright Teaching Labs is a six floor building plus mechanical penthouse. The total area of the renovation is approximately is 49,514 ft². The facility was built in the late 1960’s.
Project scope included upgrades to the first and second floor, upgrades to the fixtures and finishes, including the addition of fume hood. New student spaces and offices for department staff have been provided on each floor. Part of the third floor renovation include the addition of sprinklers in the work area. Air conditioning was added for two floors of the building utilizing a new AHU and cooling tower. Washrooms on three floors were also upgraded and sprinklers added in the area of work.
The renovation included the upgrade of mechanical and electrical services, as well as existing AHUs, and the provision of a new emergency power transfer switch, transformer and power panel.
