HRCx provided commissioning services for an expansion of the Air Canada division of Pearson International Airport. The expansion includes a 3-storey new flight training centre that features an air simulator for new pilots and aircraft staff and a data centre complete with a chiller plant and boiler plant.
The commissioning scope of work includes the following:
• Development of the Commissioning Plan
• Review of complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction check lists
• Formal review of construction documents and submittals to complete performance test scripts
• Detailed review of manufacturer start-ups, pressure and leak test reports as well as final Test and Balance Report
• Conduct functional testing of new building systems
• Identify deficiencies and methods of issue resolution
• Complete retesting as required
• Review Building Operator training
• Prepare a Final Commissioning Report.
HAVC: Electric Steam Humidifiers, Domestic Hot Water Heaters, Baseboard Heaters, Cabinet Unit Heater, Computer Room A/C Units (CRAC and Condenser), Fan Coil Units (A/C and Condenser), Air Handling units, Single Duct Variable Volume Terminal units, Split System A/C Units
Building Automation System: Sequence of Operation (100% sampling rate), Temperature Control (100% sampling rate)
Plumbing and Fire Protection System: Sump Pump
James Armstrong Richardson International Airport located in Winnipeg, Manitoba is Canada’s seventh busiest airport. An important transportation hub for the province and is the only commercial international airport in the Manitoba while others mainly service domestic travel.
The HIDI Group provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing for the renovation of Terminal 1. Improvements were made to the critical systems environment, including redundant electrical systems, heating and cooling. HIDI also assisted with the renovation of approximately 3,000 ft² of food service facilities
